|PeterEppinga: Christianity vs Evolution
One of the most controversial subjects that humans have ever talked about is, where did we come from? A great number of people think they know that answer, but are they right? Some say we are from God, others say we come from a single cell. I firmly believe that we came from God because too many organisms and organic materials had to evolve, everything had to be just right for evolution. For instance the water cycle, the ozone, the air we breath, the way plants produce energy, the way animals produce energy, if one of these didn't exist, life would not exist either.
Christianity was always there in the beginning with man kind, then later on in life some humans did not agree with it and came up with the evolution theory. Even the big bang theory had to occur before evolution which seems even more stupid. That big ball of mass was there (the universe) but what was surrounding it? Nothing? Then where did the big ball of mass come from? No where? The universe only goes so far, What's after it? I know, Heaven. Heaven is wonderful, beautiful forever happiness, peace, but most of all it is where our originator lives. The Bible says that no man has seen or heard what God has in store for the people that love Him.
Scientists think they know everything, but they have more questions than answers. If the Bible was written by a human being than why do so many people still follow it today? Why are so many lives dramatically changed when people give their life to Jesus Christ. There has to be a force we cannot see behind it all.
How do bees know how to make bees nests? What is instinct? How do trees put a structure like an acorn together? Why do we breath? How did a cell know when to breath? The answer is there is one God that is looking after everything, making things happen so the world can go on existing longer.
I do believe evolution exists today, but I don't believe in the theory that we came from a cell. There is too much probability that has to go on for organisms to evolve. We just don't have cells pop up and evolve into more cells, to oxygen, to plants, to animals, to birds, to hairy apes, and finally to sophisticated human beings. The sun would have burned up the first cells that ever spontaneously came into existence (from no where) because the ozone layer didn't exist it had to evolve yet. Also a cell just doesn't pop up from nowhere it has to come from a preexisting cell according to the definition of a cell. Cell's weren't there from the beginning, God was there from the beginning. Too much exists in this world today, for it to evolve from a single cell. Also according to science all we are is protons, electrons, and neutrons. How can an electrical current make love, hatred, murder, depression and joy. A proton, electron, and neutron cannot produce all these feelings for all they are is just electricity. Something had to breathe life into us. That is why people cry when their loved ones die it does not come from evolution or an electrical current. It comes from the life that God has given to us.
Scientists say that humans only lived on this earth for a fraction of a second compared to how old it supposedly is, which is four billion years. But the way humans are right now the world is probably going to end in about two hundred years. We're going to blow it up in war or we'll expand rapidly, using up all our resources.
Heaven or Hell, eternal happiness or eternal persecution, this seems to convert anyone even if they are some of the worst people on this earth. Like Ted Bundy or the Night stalker (Devil worshipper), people on Death Row pray to God, and ask Him to forgive them of there sins before they die. Even some of the smartest people, like NASA engineers believe in God. Whenever anyone dies at the funeral they say that their up in Heaven, why say that if they believe in evolution because now they don't exist their gone forever. People say science is everything, why can't science explain everything, like miracles, instinct, or faith. Science can't explain this because there is a transcendental God, that a little topic like science can't even comprehend the wonders He can do. He's giving people a choice to believe in him or not to believe in Him.
